We have an opening for a temp retail manager for between 20-30 hours per week depending on experience and salary expectations. This may lead to a permanent position and there is plenty of opportunity for growth for the right person. The shop manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the retail business, driving sales to achieve targets and maximise profitability. The main responsibilities are: day to day operations, people management, stock management, merchandising, grooming and day-care management, finance and administration.
The Person Essential
At least two/three years experience of managing a retail outlet with full responsibility for profitability
Good organisational and people skills
Excellent customer service skills
Problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Cash handling and EPOS experience
Good computer literacy
The Person Desirable
Retail experience in the pet sector or volunteering with an animal charity
Experience of implementing an EPOS system
